During leadership training in the Sahara, you will learn how to lead your team so that...

… your employees take on tasks and support you in your everyday life.

… you and your employees can tick off your whole to-do list without working overtime.

… you can enjoy your weekend and your vacation without feeling guilty.

The experiences of our participants

Why most managers are overworked

According to statistics, more than 70% of managers in Germany feel overworked.

The reasons:

Too much work, too little support from the team, and additional stress due to unexpected problems, such as resignations or personal issues of employees.

This means:

In order for managers to be relieved of their workload and to be able to go on vacation without feeling guilty, employees must take responsibility.

But how can you, as a manager, assign tasks to your employees and be sure that they are fulfilled to your desired standards?

That’s exactly what you learn in leadership seminars. Unfortunately, very few of them achieve the desired effect. And there’s a reason for that.

Why most leadership seminars only have a short-term effect

In leadership training, you will learn everything about proper communication within a team, conflict resolution with employees, and how to conduct critical discussions.

But how much of it actually sticks? What is implemented in everyday life and what actually leads to relief?

The problem is that most training courses consist of dry theory in boring seminar rooms. But studies show that what you learn often only sticks in your mind when it’s linked to exciting situations.

That’s why Consulting Haag’s leadership training is a little different.

Leadership training combined with survival

At Consulting Haag, you’ll attend a leadership seminar in the Sahara. You and three other executives will experience truly extreme situations in Tunisia.
Instead of just discussing theoretical approaches, you’ll experience what it means to depend on your team members. Under difficult conditions, it’s necessary to define clear tasks and leave the responsibility for them entirely to others.
In extreme situations, you learn to delegate responsibility and trust that your team will make decisions that will move you forward together.
This is how you, as a manager, develop the confidence to define clear tasks and delegate them to your employees.

The successes of our participants after the leadership seminar in the desert

Initial situation:

The managers come with the idea and attitude that this is just another action-packed seminar. However, because of the different location, they find it exciting, as they encounter different people, circumstances, and situations.

On-site experiences:

Dealing with the individual, exciting challenges and overcoming them together. The participants grow beyond themselves every day as the demands increase. Networking with each other and with the guides is another challenge that also sharpens the senses.

Result:

The participants have grown, have a different perspective on what matters, are more motivated, and now understand the problems of their own employees. The managers are more in tune with the here and now and are more focused.
Step 1: Preparation
You’ll receive all relevant information about the meeting point and the seminar schedule. Of course, we’ll also answer any questions you may have in advance.
Step 2: Meeting point in Tunisia
In Tunisia, we’ll meet with all participants at a designated meeting point. You’ll get to know your team members, and we’ll clarify any final questions.
Step 3: The desert experience
Now four intensive days in the Tunisian desert begin. In this extreme environment, you and three other leaders will tackle real challenges. From driving maneuvers across dunes, to procuring food, and conflict situations within the team. Coaches and guides will be on site at all times for your safety.

Each situation is recorded so that you can later receive a detailed analysis of your behavior in specific situations – an opportunity for self-reflection that traditional seminars often do not offer.

Step 4: Evaluation
In an individual meeting, we’ll analyze the recordings together and discuss your actions in different situations. You’ll receive strategies for improving your performance, whether in communication, conflict resolution, or teamwork.

This happens in the initial consultation

During the initial consultation, we’ll take the time to get to know you better and determine whether leadership training in the desert is a good fit for you. What are the challenges facing your team, what specific problems do you want to address, and what are your goals as a leader? We’ll also discuss whether you meet the health requirements.

About Consulting Haag

Dorothee Haag, founder of Consulting Haag, experienced firsthand what it means to have to prove oneself in extreme situations. During a trip to the Sahara, she found herself in a life-threatening situation: without a functioning vehicle and cut off from any form of communication.

From this intense experience, Dorothee developed a unique leadership training program that not only strengthens managers in their roles but also empowers them to act clearly and decisively under pressure. “I realized that I had sometimes taught my employees things they only understood theoretically. Only through these experiences did I learn to communicate at eye level and build true trust.”

The team behind Consulting Haag:
Dorothee Haag is supported by an experienced team of professional trainers, expert guides, and coaches who accompany her throughout the desert experience. They ensure safety and help her better reflect on her own actions.
